Default Stage 1 Turbo package from dealer...need opinions

Hello everyone,

This thread is also posted in the GS forum.

A local Lexus dealership has asked for our opinion about a turbo package they are putting together for the IS300/GS300. The package would add 110+rwh and 80+lbs of torque over stock. As of today, there is no price on it because they are still doing the research. That is the only info they gave me and they wanted me to round up some opinions on it.

The dealership is known to sell parts for considerably less than market. I bought a navigation housing from them for $680.00, which was on the market for around $1,000. If they could get this turbo package started, I think that there is a good chance we can set up some kind of group buy so more of us can get boost.

I appreciate your opinions and they will be used in the research process. Opinions on demand, price, and anything else you might consider useful for the dealership will be considered. Thanks for your help.

that's very interesting, but a lot more questions to be answered. what kind of turbo, they custom made? of course price would count a lot. how hard to install and tune?

sounds nice but like rominl said there is a lot of questions about the kit itself. since it would be coming from a dealer, im sure theyd use quality componets and probably all bolt on, but details are needed about it.

i would definitely be interested, but even if they do make this turbo kit, i doubt its gonna be out anytime soon
