Radiator compatibility
Hey all, just had a question. I believe the Germany lifestyle is beyond the capability of my current radiator. For example, [on the autobahn] if I'm cruising at a steady 100-110 @ appx 3k rpm, my water temp stays around it's normal "warmed up" level somewhere between the halfway point to the second line. However, if cruising around 120-125 @ 3.5k rpm, the gauge slowly rises to the third line which makes me think that this car wasn't really made for sustained high speeds.
In the search for making my car perform properly on the autobahn, I was wondering if a GS300 radiator would work, as there's a company somewhat local to me that makes an aluminum one that would most likely perform better than the plastic stock one. I've searched Parts Geek and Rock Auto (PG lists the GS300/430 as compatible whereas Rock Auto doesn't) and also compared pictures to which I can't see any discernable difference other than the neck to the upper radiator hose looking slightly different.
So my actual question is: Has anyone ever used a GS300 radiator on a GS430 successfully? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My mistake, I should've specified my car is a UK spec so I was referring to mph... so it'd be around 190-210 km/h.

Okay so your doing 200km's/h and well In Aus we don't have them speeds but I see cray temps.
I just put in a new Mishimoto thing from the USA. for my GS300 and I think it's listed for the 400/430 too but don't quote me it's stock.
Now in winter, not an issue but in summer, it hits middle of the gauge. Odd hot day in traffic after you have come off the motorway it goes up and then stable the whole time. I think the fans kick in but as A/C is on 90% of the time it never really goes about 1/3 of the gauge.
I've driven it in desert like conditions at sustained speed ( don't tell the cops) but it handled it fine.
I'd say you need a flush and new thermostat maybe radiator clean out and check your water pump.
I know Germany can get hot this time of year too. So better to be safe.
