Default Mid -Pipe Only to Improve Sound and Performance

I'm thinking of getting a mid-pipe but sticking with stock exhaust.
Has anyone else done that, and if so, what was the result?

My thinking is he mid-pipe is probably best dollar value for improved performance and I'm sure it
will make it louder. Just not sure how much louder. It should wake it up some.

Also, has anyone tried swapping the mufflers and sticking with stock piping?

Mid pipe is prob the worse dollar to HP.

From what i've read.. Mid pipe gives 1-2 hp for about 300$-450$ .
And Axle back is supposedly 4-7 hp and axle back price varies.

If you just want a little more sound then go for axle back, there a lot of axle backs that are on the quiet side.

Intakes tho, gives 1-5 hp.

Really... Huh. You'd think deleting two cats would allow better flow increasing hp.

Thanks for the info. I'll have read up on it and see.
As for cat-back, I'm thinking about a muffler swap, possibly. But need to read up on that too.
