'03 GS4 no power at low rpm
Hey Guys. I have '03 GS430 with 200k on her. I've read every thread on this forum regarding the mushy accelerator pedal. I'm leaning toward the pedal position sensor, but I wanted to throw this our there.
In my car, the issue is that on occasion, there is no acceleration when I hit the pedal from a dead stop or under 5 mph. What I found is that, when the rpm's hit 2k, the problem stops and the car takes off. Has anyone else tested this?
My question is: Doesn't this sound like something one the engine like the VVTi rather than a sensor? ...something rpm related?
There are a lot of threads for the GS300, but not as many for the 430.
Looking forward your feedback. Thanks

I'm on the same boat. I have a GS400 and it does the same thing. It drives well when it wants to. I've done all fluids changes, full tune up. I haven't messed with throttle body components, but I've checked them with a Multi Meter and they are within spec.
