The limiter is just into the redline.. maybe 100-200rpm.
As for shift delay, its actually pretty bad! I think I was pressing the button about 500rpm from the redline in first and second gear. As you go further into the gears, the rpms are climbing slower and you can press the button a little later. This is my first auto car and honestly it feels just like I'm playing CSR Racing for Android and trying to nail a perfect shift :D |
that's odd. the 8speed is one of the fastest out there

bump! The 3is has been out for a while now. Anyone take their car to the strip?
I'd like to see some more 1/4 mile results |
I'm heading to the track in a month or so. I've seen a stock 3IS run a 13.8 last year. I've heard of some going 13.5 on some other forums. No slips to back that up though.

First time at the track with the new car. Its a 2014 IS350 Fsport RWD 8spd.
Stock, Full weight, tire pressure at 38psi. Runs were done in manual mode using paddle shifters and Sport+ I think 13's are possible as she sits. Videos to follow http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d4...psa408b935.jpg |
You burn type R pretty good. Seem like he run 15.

I ran a 14.400 at 98mph at fontana speedway in socal California in my 2016 is350 fsport. Only mods I had on was rsr down springs. The track is know for slower times so I'm pretty sure she get better times.

Baseline stats:
0-60: 5.65 sec 0-60 (1 foot rollout): 5.43 sec 1/4 mile: 13.86 sec @ 98.14 mph, 1/8 mile: 8.97 sec @ 79.94 mph, 60 foot: 2.14sec To be fair, there were many passes before I was able to get these numbers. |

I'm curious to know if any of the 3IS owners have done the 1/4 mile with a tune and a higher rev limit (i.e. 7200 RPMs). The tune has helped decrease the 1/4 times for a lot of the 2IS owners thanks to a wider powerband and being able to stay in the lower gears for a longer period of time.

It's gonna be a few more months before I'll be able to pull the trigger on the tune. Just picked up an impact wrench, and saving up for a helmet. |
Enjoy my video on drag race. Last run was the best which is 11.78s
