Tranny question
How much horsepower/torque can the 5sp auto in the GS400 handle(is there a difference between the gs300 and gs400 trans)? I am helping a friend with his '94 TT auto Supra and was wondering if this transmission would 1) even fit in the Supra and 2) hold up to 400+ hp and torque. Any thoughts or ideas would help.

Well, from what I understand is that the gs300/400 trannies can hold up to 400hp to the crank= 340RWH after that U need other things like TOTAL rebuild. EVEN when U exceed 300RWH U need a valve body upgrade. I would recommend U getting the LEVEL10 tranny build for $800US in which it can hold 500RWH.
Cheaper than SRT.
