Default Engine mod advice? 2nd gen gs300

hey guys I own a 1999 lexus gs300, it only has 55k miles on it and im trying to decide what I should do engine wise. Ibelieve stock the gs does 0-60 in 7.7 seconds which doesn't just do it for me. Im looking for around 5.2 maybe even lower. I know many of you had the same questions that I have now and your knowledge would be greatly appreciated. And please do not tell me to not modify my car, its my car and I would like to do with it as I please. I was looking towards a turbonetics turbo setup, maybe bore my pistons, idk the outcomes and I need some advice, btw only looking to put in about 8k into the engine, thanks-Jason.

Max hp your gonna get outta that ge is 450 after 10 g's or more plus if that's all the tranny can handle comfortably....for that money you couple swap to a gte motor and trans...immediately go from 225 hp (ge) to 320 hp (gte) and still have 4 or 5 g's to play with and easily get 650 rwhp for that money....

There is a "VSC OFF" button between the shifter and the armrest on the car, that is the traction control button. It should look something like this https://i.imgur.com/r9F1z9W.jpg
