Has anyone ran into this before. I have driven my car at a high speed. 110 mph for about a minute. I got home and I had no lights on and I looked under the hood. The exhaust manifold was like glowing like a dark red color. I know this my sound alittle crazy but just wondering if this would be normal. I was talking to a Technician and he said that the reason why it did that was beacuse It was alot of air and fuel being put into the system. So that's why it happened.
I take it yours is a GS300? The 400/430 have major heat shields and if THEY were glowing I would be VERY surprised.
Overall, glowing exhaust manifolds are very normal if it is DARK. There is not enough radiation in the light to see but they will show up in the dark. Turbo manifolds sometimes get hot enough to see glow in the light but that is different.
