My only concern is how much louder it is. Other than that I am very interested.

roenick7 was the 1st to get it. but the kit doesnt come with an ECU their theory is that the stock ecu will relearn the pressurized excess air and re-map. riiiiiiiiiiggghtt...........

Can anyone with an SRT SC confirm their kit comes with an ECU.

eric, their kit def comes with an ECU. you gotta think that if you need an ecu to take advantage of an intake then you most certainly need one to handle 5 or 6 psi.........

You NEED another Fuel ECU to manage the extra air coming into the motor. How can you add more air, and not adjust the fuel mixture? At 6lbs of boost, you are probably ok with the stock ECU, but you will be running rich. Which means you won't be running at your most efficient rate. IMHO

the need for ECU would be the injector swap to 310 or 440 cc/min injectors (assuming these are larger than stock GS injectors). the MAF can read the extra air coming in, but it will tell the ECU to provide fuel assuming stock sized injectors. that would screw up your mixture. (so if you put on a supercharger with no change to fuel system, it would work and provide fuel mixture comparable to what it was before the supercharger; that is, until you maxed out the existing fuel injectors)

ideally, i would want an ECU with ignition timing adjusted for forced induction, the aforementioned injector size reprogram, and maybe a more conservative target fuel mixture for forced induction as well.

The kit does not need an ECU... We were also very concerned building the kit that we would have to develop a computer for it driving up the cost. But after very extensive testing we have found the car stock ECU controls the larger injectors perfect. The only reason you need an ECU for some companies intake systems is because they make the intake tube larger throwing off the air flow sensor. There is no reason why you should have to put an ECU in your car to change the intake. Every other company has done it fine with out expensive computers. There isn't a better ECU on the market that could replace the stock system for reliability and performance. It can think for its self, it has all the parameters to adjust fuel mixtures, and the air flow sensor is still reading volume of air (even at boost). And with the larger injectors you keep the stock pulse rate and spray, just with more volumeof fuel. We have had these kits on several cars (some for over 2 years) and they have ran extremely strong. On 2 of the kits, the costumers have machined a new pulley to run 8-10 of boost and the cars ran great. You could put a Gems ECU in it, machine a smaller pulley and make a lot more HP but your going to loose reliability. The Super charger units are good up to 15 PSI.
The point is is that the kit does not need an ECU to run strong. Believe it or not it works very well. I would love to talk more but I need to get back to work. Thanks.

I just spoke with one of our tech who assisted in designing the kit. He said the GS stock ECU has about 20% +/- adjustability for the injectors. So at idle and cruising speeds, the ECU can lean the new larger injectors out to keep the car running correctly. Thats what happens when you ask people that are a master at engines, you get a good answer.

Sounds awesome. Anyone on here have one of these bad boys? Where can we get feedback from someone who has one?
