I could not find a thread on tranny removal. I do not have a factory service manual. Is it pretty self-explanatory?

Can it be done without a lift? I realize the car will have to be jacked up pretty high. I am not being cheap... there are no performance shops around here, and the nearest Lexus dealer is 600 miles one way, so options are limited!
