Default IS350 lsd?

Ive put almost 60k miles on my IS350,and have not got a answer about the rear differential that I'm happy with. Lexus cooperate says we do not have a LSD ,although they say some '06-'07 Canadian models do have them. When I launch my car hard with TRC off anything can happen from a nice strong launch with both tires pulling to the opposite were only one tire spins up through 4 gear.I have tried backing up for 10+ feet, then pit it in drive without moving and it seems to lock it up maybe 20% of time .but that is the best I gave managed to get them to lock up.

We have a factory open diff, which can at times give you traction to both wheels. Just depends on the circumstances. If you want a true LSD, you can purchase a Quaife or OS Giken unit.

What Gville350 said, or you can try to find a 2010+ IS-F rear diff carrier and be the test dummy to see if the IS350 ring and pinion bolt up.

^Oh yeah, forgot about that! From my research it'll work, but you'll want to remove the IS-F ring gear for the matching 350 ring and pinion. I have some diff shimming experience...but it's totally limited to 5sp Honda transmissions.

Where can you get a Quaife for an IS350? I can't even see them on Quaife's web page.

^Good luck finding a Hilux in the states! It's the model used in Top Gear to get them to the north pole!

bad @SS trucks, I got to drive the current model Hilux on my recent trip to Nicaragua.

My old man also had a 94 Pickup (last year of the Hilux in the states) and we loved it. That 22R engine could take a beating.

I just had an OS Giken TCD LSD installed on my IS350 last month and it is the most enjoyable mod that I've ever done, even more so than going APU on my old Supra! I've done A LOT of research the past few months before I decided to spend the big bucks on the Super Lock. Since I plan on keeping the car for a very long time, it was worth every penny!

^Yeah man, additional details please! You're the first I've read that has installed the OS Giken in their 350. Did you DIY install? If so, what shims (if any) were needed? If not DIY, what did the installer encounter? Not sure I'd ever find enough money to get the OS Giken, but maybe a used IS-F or Quaife one day.

So what does LSD do? Any change to drive feel or just mainly use for hard acceleration without slipping? Wikipedia is pretty bad on this one.
