K20a is250
It just came to me. There have been many toyotas with K20A engines. So is there a way to throw one into the IS250? With some light mods with no boost or nos it can push 240 hp no problem. With turbo these units could go up sky high. Anyone ever heard of anyone trying this out?
If you don't care about anything factory on the car, including the dash, working this would be easy.
Otherwise, not so much.
For example the one guy who swapped a 2JZ-GTE into his 250 got almost everything to work and almost all the dash lights to turn off...
after about 300 hours of labor, most of that wiring and electronics...and that was a base model lacking a lot of options that would have taken a lot more work or been impossible to make work.
and he's someone who does Toyota engine swaps for a living.
The Falken drift team on the other hand did an engine swap in massively less time, but other than the pushbutton start, nothing original worked, including the dash.

I didn't think it'd be that bad. I do remember something about flaws in the 2jz swap but this is the first time I've heard that none of the electronics worked lol. Anyways, this was just an idea I guess. Thanks for the reply.
