Default Aftermarket Brz/Frs auto lsd on auto is250

I'm looking for a possible future alternative mod for an lsd install for my rwd auto is250. I've read Jeff Lange's and B16da9's threads about getting the old is300's torsen rear diff, but then again it is an older used part. Plus it's enticing to look into something different than having a torsen lsd and knowing it's going to be new. I've heard that the twins have similar rear diffs and there are aftermarket lsds from tomei and kaaz, for example, for the twins prices for less than 1k. What do you guys think about it in terms of installation possibilities?

The FR-S/BRZ use the exact same diff as the RWD IS250 / 09+ AWD IS250. Anything designed to fit them will work fine in an IS250 (including the entire 4.1 Torsen out of the ZN6/ZC6).

Jeff, do you know if the GS models have any kind of lsd?

I got mine on ebay for 140 shipped. I say its best to buy em before they start raising the price after knowing they fit in many Toyota cars. I see that you're from Chicago as well. The best price I found so far for the lsd swap is $400(labor) from TougeFactory. Just wondering do you know any other good shops that might do this for cheaper near Chicago? I'm not complaining too much since this type of work usually cost more than their asking price, but hey it's called saving money for more mods right? I'll keep posted with pics if they let me take some in the shop.

I finally got my lsd. It was horribly boxed where the guy just used the original cusco's box ansd shipped it. He even left me with a dirty tissue inside, but so far the most disastrous part was trying to remove the packing peanuts from inside the lsd crevasses.
