Thanks Dave. I am sorry my post are not clear or some of you guys read to fast to understand. But Now I have exactly what is on my signature at the bottom - The TC I am refering to is on order and will be getting it soon..yes Its as good as on the car when I made my mine and at no-time I have ever raced anyone with a TC.. Sorry if it was implied that I have one.

If I'm going to nit-pick for every little thing on here whats the point of participating at club lexus.. I will have some photos, time slips as soon as possible..

I was on another thread were this guy with a TL with 19's acknowledge seeing me on the street, so why is so hard to believe..?

And Tom thanks for the info and sorry for the confusion, whatever misunderstanding..

Later,
QWK

BTW, I've PM'd Steve to see if I can find out the status of the PI TC group buy. I'll post any updates on the classified GB thread.

Lightbulb T/C & 3.76 LSD

QWK - First of all, I shouldn't speak with ya after what 'Bama did to LSU!! Didn't go there but my sister did so she's ticked!
Anyway, the rule of thumb is to try to make up for the shortcomings of a long gear ratio with a higher stall speed T/C. Of course, the powerband of the engine comes into play & that's why Mo recommends the 2400 stall T/C with the SRT S/C ( too much low end torque ) but the 2800 for those of us with the naturally aspirated motors. Haven't had any problems with the 2800 T/C & the 3.76 gears living together ( never hit the rev limiter ). Traction is the only problem but that's half the fun!! BTW - I'm running 18's.

Hey dude,
Thanks for the input.. First, I hate Alabama Football!
I am an Auburn Fan!!! And yes They got Spanked by us!

Thanks, thats what I need to hear..I want the TC so bad-I can taste it- I'm starting to dream about it being put in my car!!!!

Then again, Some traction problems is what makes it fun..
I use to a car that can laid 100 ft of rubber a Will.. So I guess I kinda miss that since a stock GS is not able to do that, but I guess with that 3.76 Rearing and a nice 2800 stall will change that I hope...

Thanks Again,
QWK

Default 3.76 lsd

is it recommended not to have 17" wheels with the 3,76 lsd. i'm considering getting the 3.76 and down the road a tc. i'm concerned because i've got the lexus 17" wheels and everyone is saying stuff about having bigger heavier wheels.

No problem with that combo at all. If you have 17's and the TC you're gonna be able to spin your tires a LOT, especially cuz of the open diff. If you GET the Torsen diff as well then you'll have even more torque cuz of the 3.76 so you can spin both tires a lot too, but at least they'll be spinning to get you somewhere.

if i get the T/C, and with my current setup of 19'' wheels and stock 3.72 and RMM intake (1st gen intake for 2nd gen GS), will i be able to spin the tires from idle just by slamming the gas?

NoRyceGS4, stock 3.72???
I think that's a typo.

Stock is 3.27
The RMM/Supra TT LSD is 3.76

Anyway, if you're running the stock rear diff I can tell you from experience when I got my 2800 TC installed, the first thing I did when I left the tranny shop was head down an old quite street I know of. I stopped, didn't power-break or anything. I just took my foot of the break and punched it. Let's just say the TC made a HUGE difference than stock. I smoked my "TIRE" (No LSD at the time) all the way down the street.

Before the TC, I was lucky to get my tire to spin only if I powerbreaked and even then sometimes NOTHING would happen. My car would just squat down in the rear end and sit there.

After getting the 3.76 LSD installed, I can roast BOTH tires down the street without power breaking. Just punching the gas from a dead stop. This is with 20x10's in the back on 275/30's
