I just got the sport intake and sport exhaust put on my 2011 is350 and everything sounds great and all, but noticed the car backfires sometimes when stopping. Does this happen to anybody else cause that is really annoying. I live in the bay area and is there anybody in the bay area that can tune my cars computer so that it stops it from doing this?

 

Anyone who claims they can "tune your cars computer" is lying.

And yes, do a search, several folks have mentioned backfiring in certain driving with the F-sport exhaust. I've got a tanabe and can't say I've ever experienced it though.

 

Have you taken it to your Lexus dealership and asked them?

 

Mine did it alot when it was brand new. with a few 1000 miles on it (and ppe headers not sure if this made any kind of change for this) it backfires every now and then but i can't even hear it.

 

Thanks everybody. It looks like I'm gonna have to get used to it then. Wish there was a way to tune the car.
