Saw this video on YouTube, and figured someone in Cali would know about it. I saw this car at the pursuit III last fall, pretty sure they filmed it there too. The guy is claiming it's running 11lbs of boost making about 50 extra horses... Sooo is this all media hype, the forum has never seen anyone run over 7-8lbs of boost as far as I've seen.

Far as I know the K&N car was built for SEMA like 5 years ago and it never actually ran correctly (which should be obvious by them saying a supercharger at 11 psi AND a nitrous kit was only adding 50 hp)

Originally, like seemingly all SEMA cars, they just made up some great sounding hp numbers for the show that had no basis in reality (380 hp)

There was also several mentions of the car being destroyed after SEMA (which would be similar to the Fox marketing SEMA cars (which also made up some baseless forced induction gain #s for SEMA they never backed up) and we just had a thread about them being destroyed post-show)

Guess from that video it still exists... but I suspect it still never actually ran properly or put down any kinda decent #s (given they're now claiming on 50 hp from nitrous AND 11psi....which is insane BS)

Yes, you're missing the fact they've changed their story since SEMA in 2007.

In that story from 2007 (and at SEMA) they claimed 380... a number they just pulled out of thin air like most SEMA cars that don't actually run properly or ever make it to a dyno.

Now they're claiming 50 hp, which is even weirder given they claim it runs 11 psi plus the nitrous.

What they should be saying is:

Here's a really pretty car we bolted a bunch of largely non-functional things to to look good... we've no idea what power it puts out because it kinda runs like crap, has no tuning, and if we actually tried running all the things attached to it on a dyno we'd destroy the engine.... it's pretty though!
