French lexus IS250
Hi,
I'm living in France, I just bought a lexus is250 (only petrol engine available), and I want her to do a little more noise. I saw there the f-sport air intake, but the only difference with the original one is an extra hole. So I could cut my original box.
I know you can also remove the resonators, but is there a tutorial to do this?
And I rode in a forum, that you can remove this resonator :
http://www.*******.com/parts/p_E_200....html?hl=17893
What is it ?
Thanks.

There are several things to make your car growl louder. First is change the intake to an aftermarket one, like the F-Sport, K&N or Joe-Z. The short, straight pipes of the aftermarket intakes tend to free up the engine noise on the front end.
Next, you can change the exhaust side. Getting an aftermarket exhaust like the F-Sport, Greddy, HKS, etc. will give you a louder exhaust note (the HKS Hi-Power is the loudest from what I hear). Then, you can remove the resonators from the midpipe (which is the long pipes from the end of the headers to about the rear axle). This involves cutting out the small canisters and welding in some straight pipe. These canisters (resonators) dampen some of the exhaust noise. If you don't want to weld and have the $$, get an aftermarket midpipe like Invidia, Tanabe, Megan, etc.
Then, if you have more $$ left over, change the exhaust headers. I believe there are only Megan or PPE to choose from with headers.
With these things, your car will sound louder and roar. I hope this helps and good luck.
