Tanabe or Invidia CatBack Exhaust?
Both Tanabe and Invidia make a mid pipe that you can bolt up to an axle back exhaust.
All of the tanabe's I saw on Ebay were just axle backs. Just going off of the pictures.
All of the invidias were also axle backs in the pictures, except one invidia that had an actual cat back pictured. Those prices you posted are high for just an axle back. So who knows. Just make sure you check with the seller before you buy to make sure. Axle back is 2 mufflers and a short pipe. Cat back will be two mufflers and the short pipe, along with a longer pipe going to the cats....should have a resonator as well on the long pipe.
To confuse you more.....why not check out the Greddy Exhaust.

The greddy only comes in axle back i confirmed that with greddy yesterday... here are the links below for the invidia and tanabe catback...let me know what u think.

The only CATBACKS for the IS are the Joe-Z, LMS, Megan, Borla, Jun-TW, and Blitz.Tanabe is an axleback. I'm unsure whether Invidia is an axleback or catback.
My vote goes for Tanabe paired with another midpipe (Invidia, Megan, etc)

It's your money but if you go with the Tanabe,why would you pay $741 on Ebay when you can get it from Amazon url I listed for $667?
I got my Tanabe from amazon.No problems.

Shiny250 is correct, neither Tanabe or Invidia makes a catback. However, Invidia offers the axle back with the midpipe for $1,250 on their website. Here is the link HS06LISGT3. Personally, I have Tanabe and like it very much. Needs to be paired with a midpipe. You can also get just the Invidia midpipe. I paid less than $650 for my Tanabe Axle Back shipped to my house and will be ordering a midpipe soon for $350 shipped.
Tanabe does make a mid pipe alone as well. However only like 3 people in this board have one as they are pretty rare.

I think Tanabe might be right for me, with Invidia midpipe in my future.
I am a bit confused though. Some places say the Tanabe fits 06+, some say 06-08, and others say 06-09. None actually state they fit the convertible.
I have a 2010 IS350C (convertible). Does anyone have some light they can shed on the years (and maybe model) question?

The Tanabe exhaust fits 06-09, per Tanabe's website and the 250/350 RWD/AWD but no mention of the ISC. The FSport exhaust has a different part number for the non convertible vs the convertible. So, long story short the Tanabe can not be guaranteed to have proper fitment for the ISC.
