i have seen a few people talking about the wiring problem but no one is really clear. i am also looking for a wiring diag for the aristo. I am not a expert on wiring but why would i need to repin the harness that came with the motor. i dont understand.

 

You should probably talk to Darin from DD Tuning in Orlando, he just did my Aristo swap in my 01 GS300.

 

Since you have a 98 your golden as long as you get everything with the new motor. Specifically the entire harness with the aristo orange and grey jumper plugs. You need to run 1 wire from the igniter tach feed and splice it to the body harness. The repinning stuff is for the 01+ that doesn't have the same ecu connectors.

That's all mine needed, but I'm single turbo with a manual tranny and luckily got to remove like 50 wires from the harness that were for the auto trans and twin turbo vsv's.

I believe there may be something else to do with the shift lock, but I kinda thought the jumper plugs took care of that, and it was only an issue if your jdm harness is missing them. Not sure tho you may wanna do a search for shift lock issues to verify.
