06ISDriver's intake Dyno TESTED!
what? because its an intake, not a supercharger.
This is just a regular hood sealed intake, lets not go crazy here. I concern myself with intake temperature because it's well known that cooler more dense air packs a better punch.
Newsflash: part of the reason those 300 dollar "name brand" intakes dont put out the power they claim is because they've got no heat shielding or inadequately so. They are more concerned with costs over design.
So yeah, I guess you could say I was concerned with matching the performance of the heat shielding from the stock system and the gains from smooth flow WITH sound from the open filter types. Its a hybrid system, and it works beautifully.

Close loop tuning needs the AFR calibrators and i don't want to mess with the stock ECU on close loop because i might step in some other problems.
All that the MAPECU3 is doing is some timing adjustment to free up the motor at high rpm and some more fuel intercepting the MAF signals above 60% throttle.
Good thing with the MAPECU is that it has the ability to be totally inactive in closed loop leaving the signals passing through and only steps in in open loop where the stock ECU receives no feedback from the after cat sensors to adjust fuel and timing. They call it MAF intercept mode and it's a perfect match for the way our engine works.
Good enough for a 7 psi boost project.
I will post dyno results when i'm 100% ready.
I wish i could somehow use a cold air intake like the HKS S/C kit or your setup, the gains would be very noticable.

(sorry for resurrecting)
Intake is one of a kind. I'll be competing in Import Face Off in the all motor class this Sunday and showcasing the intake and company. I'll upload vids and pics next week.
Coincidentally, my shop is finishing up with my MAPECU3 install as well, and I'll be trying for the first 300+whp NA is350. It's looking good. I suspect I'll win the all motor class which would be all the better.

let's race
