Default Custom extending exhaust pipe

Can anyone tell me if a extension to the tail pipe is added does it effect performance of a car? For example, if i was to have a custom pipe bent and welded on to existing tip of a car so that the pipe then exits from the center of the rear end, will this effect performance?

It shouldn't unless you have crazy bends and loops, or different size piping.

there is a is350 running around here in houston with a custom cut rear lip with a quad centered exhaust systems. doesnt look nice to me cause the car is not wide enough but to each its own. but you shouldnt have a drop of performance loss
