Default Opinions Needed for Exhaust System

Hey everyone, I need your help!! Im looking for an exhaust system for my IS 350. Im eye balling the F Sport Exhaust. The question is, do I really need a midpipe?? If so, why?? Whats the benefits with the midpipe?? IS it louder with it?? What else is out on the market thats pretty good?? Thanks guys, I appreciate the help!!

The Fsport exhaust has a nice sound for our cars. Tanabe’s exhaust is a little quieter than Fsport. A midpipe is not necessary unless you are looking for a really loud exhaust system. Aftermarket midpipes also do not meet emission standards in California.

I think Sewell has a few Fsport exhausts on clearance for like $800 (without the Fsport logo).

i would suggest not pairing an aftermarket midpipe with the f-sport exhaust unless you want it to be very loud. There are a few youtube clips that you can check out to get an idea.

On the 2IS, an aftermarket midpipe (Megan, Invidia, Tanabe) adds noise, not any significant power.

The mid-pipe mainly makes your exhaust louder as people said... also you'll gain a bit HP but it's little to notice any difference. Adding a mid-pipe will cause you to fail smog (visual) and it's not carb legal.
