What do you mean by full intake?

everyone talks about hp.

what about the fuel economy difference when you are not flogging your car?

with exhaust, bfi, apexi safc2 on sc400 i may have only gained 10% power but i get 25miles town and 60miles highway extra a tank a week

^ You must be a disciplined driver. Most would probably experience lower gas mileage since they're gunning their car more to feel that extra power.

and mainly any mileage gain would be from the SAFC in your example.

Which isn't useful on the 2IS since the ECU will tune back out anything you do there other than at WOT (which you won't spend much time at if you're looking for good mileage).

Really folks, if the car maker could significantly increase mileage with a cheap intake they'd sell it that way from the factory to bump their CAFE numbers and be able to advertise a better EPA rating.

sorry to hijack the thread

brociouz, Kurtz good comments

We use the ADR rules and currently on Euro 3 (ADR 79/01) which restrict hydrocarbon emissions to 0.2gm/km, oxides of nitrogen to 0.15gm/km and carbon monoxide to 2.3gm/km. Which came into effect on January 1, 2006
