Default good turbo or not?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-S...ht_4860wt_1010

I have no idea if this is just a rip off or a decent turbo. I am just looking to get around 350hp and not to push it too hard. Idk what other things I need to upgrade to install this. I have an auto trans and am not sure if it can handle it, I have seen that it might not be able to. Idk if it is even a good idea with about 100k miles.

its all replica or ebay parts. nothing is a quality name.

you get a replica turbo, hks knock off waste gate, greddy knock off blow off valve. that may burn out on you. the only thing that is probably any good are the pipes. which may or may not fit correctly. but 1500 for pipes is a ripe off. besides you need an ECU to control the whole thing, spark plugs, head gasket, head studs, fuel injectors and a few more things that are missing. why not just go with a proven kit?

Just stay natural and do some head work. Build the engine with some long tube mazzuri headers an srt intake with race ecu cams, and a Greddy Evo 2 Exhaust. I can help you get some of these hard to find parts

that kit you posted ive seen on ebay a few times. they like to use the words "most complete kit" but its far from complete. then they list out all this junk that you really dont need like a cooling fan, catch tank, radiator hose sleeve, voltage stabilizer, tachometer. cmon its fluff

another member had similar question on boosting with a ebay kit. here are my comments

Thanks for the advice I believe this is the way I'm going to go. I all ready planned on the intake if I didn't do turbo but that's more work then I want to get into. I was thinking about doing the mazzuri headers with a magnaflow exhaust just have to wait til I get the money as I only work part time and have car and insurance payments to make

Ebay turbos are hit or miss. Journal bearing technology is pretty dated, so buying one might be a reasonable option.

OR, do what a lot of people do and buy a used V-band garrett or holset for under $200, and either buy a new CHRA or have it rebuilt for a few hundred bucks...
