Default 99 GS400 0-60=5.7 1/4 mile 14.2@101 gtech

I just did some gteching this evening in my bone stock 99 gs400.

I had to heat up the rear tires and launch the car at 1700rpm's to get the 5.7 0-60 and 14.2 1/4 mile. The car has 107k miles and I just cleaned the maf sensor and cleaned out the throttle body. Is there anything else I can do to improve the times. The times I am getting are on par with what Car and Driver got out of it in 99.

Has anyone got the same times without launching the car and just stepping on it. For me, with just stepping on it it would do 5.9-6.0 0-60.

Will a SRT intake or 376 LSD rear improve the times much?

I wish mine did this.
I ran a 15.2 @ 152kph, and a 0-60 in 7.3.
Perhaps I should look at cleaning my MAF and Throttle body.

I posted up a few years ago that I got the same time with my GS. I was on the stock 16's at the time and I warmed my tires and stepped on it. I did a 5.6 and a 14.2 something, so yea its been done!

I also live at sea level and the ambient temp/humidity was great for racing that day. I had over 100k miles, too... It can be done!

SRT intake (assumed with ECU) may help some but not more than a tenth or two...the 3.76 diff will likely help the 1/4 mile, not sure by how much. I'd do a search.
