Question blown motor

What up world. I have a 2000 gs300 witch motor has just blown. I want to buy a used motor that could handle a single turbo looking for around 300hp what should i do before i put the 2jzge in. I heard all i need is new head gaskets and studs is this true. Around how much $ is a good deal for a 2jzge one guy told me 1100$ with 80,000mi

Best bet is to just put a GTE in and you'll have your 300...

save yourself some pain and just buy a gte and from there you can go single if you want but the engine is 300 bhp stock
it will be alot easier than installing a new ge and going NA-T

Depending on money, I can do a complete engine swap for you. full 2JZ-GTE, keeping the stock twins, and give it back making 300+rwhp.

If all you are looking for is 300whp, the stock twins on the gte will do the job. If you're gonna do most of the labor on this project, going single on a ge motor isn't that bad of an idea.

You shouldn't pay more than $800 for a used ge vvti longblock. To convert it to na-t is another 2-3k (depending on the parts used), another $500 in fuel, and another $500-1000 in EMS + tune. A gte vvti that is in good condition should be around $2k, and that'll net you 280-300whp with a piggyback tune.
