Glad to see the silencers help for reducing the level of Drone inside the car.. I'm ordering mine in the morning. I do like the exhaust though, if the silencers do the trick for inside the car, I'm a happy boy!!

I just ordered mine from here :http://www.nolimitmotorsport.com/hks...-silencer.html

I called and verified they had them in stock. Didn't catch the guys name on the phone but he was more then happy to help me out. And since there in NY I should have them to install this week.

Personally, I feel that the exhaust should come with these and give the end-user the option to remove them. I'd have paid a few bucks more for the exhaust with the silencers included, but no biggie. Hence the fun of the hobby!

Ain't gonna help ya man. Little bit of road noise? Yeah. Full on exhaust drone? Probably won't even make a dent. If you want less drone, get silencers. I have one for my HKS Ti, but I never use it cause it kills my spool.

^^^ Same here. Sometimes I wish it was a little louder at WOT! Long trips can be tedious, but I don't take too many of those with the IS.

It would be nice if they had a Carbon Ti option, though (outside of a custom set-up, that is).

LOL yea, It's not my favorite "audio" track in the car right now either!!
But my silencers will be here Today or Monday so hopefully that will help like everyone says. Otherwise its coming off and the F-sport is going on. I hope they work cause I do like the looks of the "Cannons" .

I love my hks too. I even cut the resonator. Car sounds intense. The cabin noise can get annoying when you are going uphill for long periods of time.

I have silencers never installed brand new. I work in Hollywood/live in Valencia. $75 for the set if you wanted to grab them.

I have HKS hi-power and it is love and hate. I like the sound but it's pretty loud for DD.

Hey guys, I got my silencers installed today and............. YES!!!! Just as everyone said, these solved the drone problem I had inside the car from 1900-3000 rpm. The inside the car noise level is just about back to stock and outside the car sounds about the same. PERFEcT!!! I'm really happy with the HKS now!

Also an observation I wanted to share for you guys that may be going to install the silencers. I noticed that HKS provided us pre-punched dimples to drill into up on top of the rear of each tip. This made drilling the tips a breeze. They are slightly off center due to the brackets directly above the dimple.. Just used slow speed hi-torque drill, and 3 different bits. (Drilled a pilot hole, 1 bigger, and 1 bigger). I did have to drill two holes in a slightly different spot on the actual silencer as the HKS holes in the tips were just a hair off from lining up, but they fit perfect now. I did drop the cans to do this install so it took a few extra minutes.

Here's a couple of pics of them installed. I know a few other guys installed them about an inch out from all the way in. I chose to use the holes HKS started for me. So mine are in just about all the way, maybe a half inch out. I played with different positioning and the tone in the car seemed about the same no matter how far in I had them. Outside the car got louder or a bit softer.

For me it was driving within 1800-3000rpm where the exhaust would settle into a constant annoying low end tone that just wore on my nerves. Killed all the bass response on my tunes too! Prominent when you drive uphill and the car downshifts or on the highway in 5 or 6th gear. I enjoy nice performance exhaust just like the next guy, but to me it just didnt feel right inside the car as I drove. It drove me nuts but some people like it too. The silencers HKS sells for this exhaust do the trick though!! Still gives you the nice tone out back of the car, but inside the car noise is night and day. Its just enough tone now, but not overpowering to my ear or my music.
