Lexus IS exhaust systems?
My last car was over 500 hp NA, full headers and dual dynomax exhaust... THAT had drone. You'd have to raise your voice to have a conversation cruising at 2500 rpms. The exhaust could set off car alarms. At idle.
The tanabe on the IS350 on the other hand is virtually indistinguishable from the stock exhaust noise unless you romp on the gas.
yeah i think im ganna go for the hks.... i just want my car to sound amazing when i drive by people.
im just trying to have a g35 sound but louder and aggresive not an exhaust that people put on all those civics and accords i dont want nething loud idk
like as loud as an m3..... not showing off that my car is loud..... idk! i need to hear one in real life!

it will be faster for you to just buy G35 or 350Z if you want that sound
different engine that you are comparing here and you will never get that G35 sound out of IS250/350
if you want loud,,then go with HKS Hi-power
if you want little louder than Stock,,Tanabe
if you want something in between HKS Hi-power and Tanabe
then get Greddy
F-sport, Lexus HKS, JoeZ all sound great and aggressive,,somewhere between Tanabe and HKS Hi-Power
and if you are worried about droning,,get the Megan Midpipe,,it will reduce the droning and also make your exhaust louder and deeper for sure

why are 2is owners trying to replicate the g35/g37/Z exhaust tone? it's distinctive only to the g35/g37/Z, and imo it's just not possible to achieve that type of harmonics w/ the 2is. so can we all admit it's not going to happen and quit trying to make it happen? /OT
anyways... the HKS hi-power (not to be confused with the lexus HKS system) is very likely the loudest axle-back application for the 2is. matched w/ an open-air filter element intake (a la fujita), and you will have one loud 2is. i have cabin drone, but i've learned to live with it.
anything louder will probably have a modified mid-pipe.

Welcome to CL, btw.
i dont really want a g sound but like not like the civics and accords these days..... i really like a hks with a meagen midpipe THAT is what i was going for.
