uh... if you mean the lexus/hks, then yes, it's just a bit louder than the tanabe, but not louder than the f-sport.

but if you mean the hks hi-powers, then no.

the hks hi-power is probably the loudest axleback exhaust application for the 2is. even louder than the f-sport.

To me their all the same, its what you want. It all depends what kinda looks you want, and how loud you want it to be. So far tanabe sounds perfect, not too loud and not too soft. But i'm starting to like the look of the wald exhaust!! lol

welcome aboard~~!
I think you'll love Tanabe if you want a little deeper and louder than the Stock
but keep in mind that there are alot more than Tanabe and it all depends
what you want in the end..

if I were you, I'll just wait until I meet some cool local CL members,
and then hear the aftermarket exhaust in person..and then go purchase it

because it's really hard to explain the "real" sound in words..hearing in person is 1000 better than trying to explain

but so far..my favorites are,,
0-my WALD
1-Tanabe
2-JoeZ
3-Lexus HKS

not to nit-pick the finer points, but the Joe-Z/PTS is a cat-back system, yet so far the majority of us have been referring to axle-back systems (lexus/HKS, HKS hi-power, tanabe, etc.).

if you're going to make comparisons, make sure it's apples to apples.
