for that price, you can boost your ge block very nicely.

just make sure you get thicker HG, ARP headstuds, and swap in forged internals.

oh and non-vvti 2jzgte's would require a standalone if you want it in your car.

JDM Toyota 2JZ-GTE complete engine swap with automatic transmission instead of the 6 speed manual transmission is available for only $3499.00 + shipping. The automatic 2JZ is an ideal engine swap for Lexus IS300 vehicles.

^^I think you guys missed that?

^ yeah but the problem is that it's not the vvti version. you're going to spend a lot more time and effort (thus money) into making it work. Swift Racing Tech has a VERY nice turbo setup for about $4k and that setup includes a standalone fuel management. look on my.is for more info.

OR you can follow jefftsai's build. On things like manifold, downpipe, piping, FMIC you can get xspower, but the turbo, wastegate, internals, tuning don't pinch even a penny on them.

you should be worried about the tranny (how much it's going to hold up before it blows).

I don't see it for 4K on my.is. I'll prob end up doing what jeff did.

also, I know about the tranny, that's the last thing I want to replace.

That price is way to high ! goggle jdm engines and you'll find auto swaps for around $2500 shipped ! and 1jz swap around $2000 shipped with an auto tranny ! or just shop around and piece a kit together for under $2k ! my buddy just dynoed like 480 rwhp on a 1j swap in his sc300 on e-85 ! which is $1.99 a gallon in vegas rightnow !

Why not get a complete JDM GTE VVT-I motor for $3500??? It will save you or the mechanic some headache on the wiring.

Ebay. lol.

Risky but it's got good deals...Mines passed leak down and compression test with flying colors.

Just make sure you run tests before you put it in or you will be crying. Ebay dealers usually offer a 30 day money back/exchange.

Yeah, I could do that. I'm tossing coins with either doing a swap or a turbo. I'm still undecided..
