I was just on there website and I noticed the 0-60 time went to 5.6 for the 2009 model. They have been 5.3 for the first 3 years. What is the reason for this? Emissions would be my guess? I hate to see this car getting slower.
Maybe changes to keep it more separate from the ISF? I know in my area the demand for the 350 has gone down. Either they want to be conservative and go IS250 "or" its the ISF....
I doubt it's any slower..they did this when the re-design of my old car came out. I had a 2002 RSX type-s, when the 2005 model came out it was rated at a lower Horsepower AND 0-60 time. It could be the new stricter EPA ratings and such..lots of behind the scenes reasons it could be

i had the same car
but actually the horsepower was rated lower on the 2005 model because of the mandatory SAE corrected horsepower times that was required after that year. 2005 recieved the new k20Z1 engine with 210 HP but was SAE corrected to 201HP.
BTW i doubt the 2009 is350 is any slower.
I think it has to do with BMW's times for the 335i. they want people to expect less when they drive the IS350 for the 1st time. also what passnu said makes perfect sense.
On the side: who would run a 5.6 anyways, if you dont even power brake you can still get low 5's. hehe
