Bought it yesterday from M1 Autosport and picked it up today. Installed it at MusicBox and so far I can't hear a difference. Pickup is a tad better but I don't know how much is psychological. FYI listed below are the parts I have in addition to the midpipe. Caymandive, Fluxx or anyone else can chime in the following questions. Did you guys have a hard time removing the O2 sensors? We decided to remove the covers. Last was your midpipe closer to any side? The middle section was right up against the heat shield, so we had to tap a little to make some room. Thanks.

Yeah there is one section where the megan pipe is just barely touching one of the heat shields. Just a simple push on the shield to bend it back a tad fixed that issue. As for the 02 sensors, I used a standard 02 socket to get them out so I had to drop the midpipe down by unbolting the flanges that connect to the primary cats to access them. Once the exhaust is down and the exhaust cooled off a bit the 02 sensors weren't that bad to get out. Just make sure the socket is on perfectly straight otherwise you can possibly start stripping.

I had all weekend to drive my mid pipe. I don't notice any change in sound at all. Here is my assumption. Caymandive and Fluxx had the joez intake (no holes in box i assume) and the tanabe. Once they added the mid pipe both noticed significant exhaust noise. I think the increase in volume is similar to when I only added my f-sport intake to my tanabe. I am happy with the midpipe because I didn't want it any louder. Just my 2 cents.

Suprisingly i had zero problems with the midpipe install, which is pretty unbelieveable. The o2 sensor came right out, of course i had the correct tool to remove the o2 sensor, but it was straight forward. Towards the center of the mid-pipe it was very close to the heat-shield but i just pushed it back a little and stayed in that position. I only pushed the midpipe because i thought it could be a possible rattle in the future, there was no need to though.

Thats an interesting theory ghettoaww about having the intake, but can that really affect the noise difference?

Yeah there was a thread on how the holes in the intake box produce more noise. I don't know the technical stuff but caymandive's clip sounded like very similar to my f-sport and tanabe only.

How is the parting out going fluxx?

haha i didnt mean the holes in the intake box, but the intake+ midpipe+ exhaust= increase in exhaust sound.

parting out went well, midpipe and intakes been sold. still debating on keeping the exhaust or not. but wont decide that until i get back from a trip. im going to LA, cali this sunday for 2 weeks. wooop sooo if there are any meets or things of that nature. i definately want to meet up with some members out there an actually see some heavily modded IS's.

hahaha my mistake...i dunno what it is but you mentioned how the car got louder when you added the midpipe to your joez and tanabe. I noticed no change in noise since adding it. I guess you are right it might not all be exhaust noise but a combo with the intake. I guess my thing is joez + tanabe then a midpipe = louder. f-sport + tananbe then midpipe = fsport + tanabe.

There was a meet yesterday. Post something in the cali section and I am sure some people would be down to meet another cool member .

Can somebody tell me how to remove the o2 sensors? Also does this midpipe set off the check engine light or cause you to fail emissions? I live in NY if that matters. I have this sitting in my garage waiting to be installed. I have the F-Sport Intake and Tanabe Exhaust installed right now and this will complete the package! Help fasttt please!

Megan midpipe does NOT set off the check engine light
I'm not sure about failing emissions tho, but I'm assuming you will fail
and there is a tool to remove O2 sensor
go to any auto store and they should have it
or you can google it and get it online
