for some reason they dont go the extra mile and email you your shipping confrimation. if you call them theyll give it to you in a few seconds. but if it was suppose to go out when they said it did, it went out. they are very prompt with shipping
Very lame. I was going to order this week too. Id like to find out when Carson is going to do a group buy and if so, how much they would be. Man, I should have bought 10 exhausts for $550 shipped and then sold them to everyone on here. BTW, why was there a 20% increase in the price of the exhaust? That is a serious price hike.

Actually you are right.. I called them today and they gave me a tracking number. It said shipped on March, 20, the date I ordered my tanabe!!

I was told on the phone by a Tanabe authorized distributor in CA that Tanabe USA introduced a 5% increase on all of their exhaust systems, due to increases in raw material prices and fuel costs.

Last time I checked a 5% increase on a $550 item is a $27 increase. However, the exhaust on all the sites are now $650-670. That is an 18-20% increase...is Tanabe for real saying its 5%?

Yes, per one of their authorized distributors who did not have the Medallion in stock and had to call TanabeUSA directly.
Although, come to think of it, your math is right....
Good thing I got mine back in December. Showstoppers does have the best pricing (or at least they did), but they aren't really good on the customer service side. I got an email from them saying that my order was going to be filled within a few days, but never received a tracking number from them. I sent them emails to get the status of my order and got no reply, next thing I know the exhaust shows up sitting by my front door. To this day, I still haven't heard from them.

Yea! I would also agree with this. I'm pretty sure they don't want to get busted for some false advertising problem or some kinda of lawsuit for having them change the price on you in less then 24 hours.
