Fox Skyling exhaust:
Axle back exhaust, made of grade 304 S.S. adds no more than 4 hp, fairly loud, there is noticable drone in lower rpm, at higher rpm its drowned out by the engine (not sure of the Db Levels). Manufacturing and fitment is excellent. Apparanlty its a bit heavier then the stock exhausts but i dont have the numbers to confirm/prove that. It costs around 3500dhs which is equivalent to $945 for isntall and exhaust costs.
Not sure what other info u require but thats wat i got off the top of my head

carchitect - read post #22. Also, if you look at the sites that sell it, it's listed as a cat back.
"GReddy Exhaust Systems are some of the finest performance exhausts available today. All Lexus GReddy exhaust systems (SP2, EVO 2, G2, EVOTT) are complete cat-back exhaust systems unless otherwise stated,"

GReddy Exhaust Systems are some of the finest performance exhausts available today. All Lexus GReddy exhaust systems (SP2, EVO 2, G2, EVOTT) are complete cat-back exhaust systems unless otherwise stated, which do not effect emissions related hardware. Each specific exhaust system bolts-on, using factory mounting hangers from your IS350.

Pretty clear its an axle back?? That's odd ,I do a google search for is350+greddy to purchase and axle back and come up with nothing. You sure you are not talking about the original SP that is discontinued? Hmmm lets see what greddy says their sp2 is "GReddy redesigned the SP as a full stainless steel cat-back exhaust system that is similarly priced to the original SP system."
If you can send me a link to where I can purchase an axle back greddy exhaust that is still being made in quantity i'll add it to the axle back section. As of now, based on information STRAIGHT FROM GREDDY it's a cat back.
Maybe you should call greddy as joez did?
yeah, pretty clear to me.

^^^ Something's not adding up......
I'm starting to believe our members over Greddy..
I just had a friend pick up the "axle back" Greddy SP2 exhaust last night here in So Cal and he even installed in a whopping 20 mins....
So lets see if he makes a thread on it...
Not sure if it was new or used.. but the $$$ price he mentioned, leads me to believe its new....

I never saw the phrase "axle back" until I bought my Lexus and came on this forum. If you didn't take of the cat's, it was always just refered to as a cat back even if there was some of the stock tubing after the cat.

You guys figure it out..
these pictures here show a long pipe with one really long looking resonator (1/2 the system) with what looks like a bung hole for the o2 sensor. I don't have the best eye sight, but if that is a bung hole for the o2 sensor, then this is a cat back.
There is the other caveat though. These pics might not be for the 2is, but typically the website will state that the item might not really be whats is pictured.
until they change the title of what they are selling it as, it's a cat back.

So i guess the big misunderstanding is that Greddy USED to make the SP in an axle back but then CHANGED the design to a cat back? Am I right? Im still confused cuz Ive seen the greddy in person as an axle back but apparently theres a cat back also
If it is a cat-back system, then Greddy is lying when they say "Each specific exhaust system bolts-on, using factory mounting hangers from your IS350." If you have to cut the stock exhaust so that the new system can slip-fit onto the cut pipes is NOT a bolt-on.
