I came across a really interesting comparison of aftermarket intakes. While it is true this comparison is not a Lexus model, the lessons learned are pretty clear.
I'm not posting this to argue about, or even discuss any intake available for the ISx50. I am saying I've found these results to be consistent with my observations over about 30 years of buying aftermarket stuff with claims of making more power. While it is very true there are some models of cars that respond very well to intake mods, their ranks are very few these days. Anyway, peruse this site for one of the most exhaustive and complete intake tests I've ever seen done by an independent party. My hat is off to these guys at LXforums for not only providing the dyno results, but actually going to the track and validating everything they learned from dyno testing.
