LOL. I was just pointing out that you shouldn't be criticizing his desire to do it. Besides, he wouldn't have any annoying high pitched sound if removing the secondary cats is all he does. Plus, 1-2 HP for $100 is pretty good.

For the $90 it does indeed seem like a good deal.
1. Gains of 1-2 hp (not peak power) low through mid-rpm
2. Gains of at least 5 ft/lbs of tq (not peak power) low through mid-rpm
3. 5lbs of weight removed

well i guesss its just mine that sounds that bad with the cats removed since its a full exhaust.. if taking them off only causes a sound around 3500 rpms and isnt too bad then i guess that it is a decent mod

I don't understand why you say you can't go back to stock. It's very simple. Just re weld the original stuff back on.

What parts? The only parts used for the mid-pipe were 2.25" piping that the exhaust ship cut and welded in place of the cats.

You could buy the Megan midpipe to mate up to it.

The price isn't really the hard part of it. Finding someone who is willing to do it is the hard part. I asked all the exhaust shops around me, and none of them were willing to risk performing the mod due to the federal regulations. Finally, Combfilter found a shop about an hour away from me that was willing to do it. I think they charged $60.

you dont need to buy a midpipe.. its just simply pipe.. just like the rest of your exhaust.. just find a shop that will do the job.. they will chop the secondaries off and weld a straight pipe in place.. they will have pipes at the shop
