The heatshield itself has a rubber lining to it that connects to the cold air from outside part. so the only way hot air is going to come in is between the gaps of the engine cover and heatshield as the heatshield does not cover up that part, i guess they designed it with the engine cover doing its job and blocking hot air from engine coming in.

dyno graphs are so small i cant read it. Maybe some of you have better eyesight than me and can see if dyno results are from a 250/350.

graphs can be seen https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...=310313&page=2

Never believe the claims by aftermarket manufacturers. Look for independent results instead.

Intake dynos are a joke. Run it down the street and time it. I don't know anyone who runs with the hood open.

If the hood is down, the result will definitely be different, but still not acurate since there won't be much air flowing through the radiator as it would be on the street. I found that closing the hood reduced my dyno results by about 10 HP with the stock intake, but I have no idea how much it would reduce power on a short ram.

hummm... some one did a test and said there was enough air flowing into the stock air power to give 306 hp..so if we get short rams... it wouldnt make a diff even if i seal the heat shield off so i only get cold air from the snorkel?.. some please correct me if im wrong..

Video clips !!!!

Sorry for the poor camera, and the highway was a bit busy, i thought at 2am it would be not. I will take better soundclips and videos with emptier roads next time. I tried to do normal driving, normal accelerating and hard accelerating in these videos. Cheers.
