nice exhaust...

 

Update: Now with over 1,200 miles on the Tanabe, it sounds even better than when it was first installed. Four times over the past two weeks people have made it a point to comment at the traffic light as to how nice the exhaust sounds. Yesterday, I had passengers in the back seat and both stated that they found the Tanabe to be a non-instrusive, pleasant note. I'm delighted with the Tanabe!! I highly recommend it to other fellow IS owners.

 

do you experience any droning sounds?? have you taken your car for a dyno?

 

No drone. My ears are sensative to drone and I have not experienced any with the Tanabe. I have not dyno tested the car. What I can say about the Tanabe, it certainly adds to the driving experience.

 

Hey DropTopGal, I ordered my g/f's (after reading this thread) exhaust from the same place you did and was wondering what carrier they used to ship to you and if they gave you a tracking #. I ordered from them as well and it was to be sent on Tuesday but I haven't gotten a tracking # or anything from them.

ShowstoppersUSA used DHL for the shipping. For my order, they were supposed to ship it on a Tuesday, but it actually was shipped on the following Friday. It took only 5 days for DHL to deliver the overly large exhaust box from Southern California to South Florida. The box was filled with expanding foam and the exhuast was well protected during shipping.

I'd call them to check on your order if I were you. They sent me a tracking order after I called them.

I don't know how I can drive this car with Tanabe. It actually sounds better inside than G35/350Z.

 

Exactly! While at JM Lexus yesterday, a few people commented how nice my car sounded. Go Tanabe!

 

making me want to get one now. I had a Thermal R&D on my prelude, awesome exhaust made it sound like it had a V6
