Lexus IS250/IS250 AWD/IS350: AWD 250

Which Exhaust: HKS Hi-Power

Dyno: No

Did you feel any Hp/Tq difference, if yes, how much/where in the powerband, ect? No significant increase but i bet its there. Some people say around a 5-8HP increase.

Comments on your exhaust: I think the setup is perfect with my K&N intake. At low end RPMs the HKS has a nice note and once at WOT the K&N kicks in and growls like a beast! Some may say that the HKS is too loud with alot of droning on the freeway but i think its perfect (I came from a EVO and this setup is way quieter). Once above 3k the exhaust is barely noticable.

Any Pictures/Videos you may have? No pics yet... waiting for the whole package to be done till i show her off.

Sorry, but its NOT a TRD exhaust.... The dealership you went to has no idea what they are selling...

You have bum info from them...!

Rickster - I've edited your poll choices for you. Since there is no "TRD" exhaust, and all the votes so far for the TRD were actually for the Lexus OEM upgrade exhaust, I simply renamed the TRD option to 'Lexus HKS Dual Sport.'

Humm could Joe Z be working on an exhaust?! If so we want details! I always loved oval tips instead of round. That is the only reason keeping me back from buying a Tanabe medalion. Other than that it has a nice quality finish and a nice growling sound of 93db tops. From the vids and pics anyways.

I posted my "story" on the TRD Exhaust anyone thread, the dealer got pretty steamed when I requested the HKS exhaust. saying its not HKS its TRD. Made sense at the time assuming Lexus just rebranded the Exhaust but after reading alot of the feedbak here @ CL, Im pretty sure you are right as well. The parts guy is full of it.

Lexus IS250/IS250-AWD /IS350: ~ 2007 IS-350

Which Exhaust: Megan Cat Back, (Replacing Secondary)

Dyno: (+16HP) w/ Intake = 252hp w/ Intake + Exhaust = 268hp

Did you feel any Hp/Tq difference, if yes, how much/where in the powerband, ect? Yes...I can tell a difference throughout the powerband

Comments on your exhaust: I picked my set up due to the way it looks. I didn't know much about the HP gains but for 16 added HP, I am definately suprised. Its pretty quiet throughout the powerband, but you can hear a nice hum at about 2500rpm. The Injen SR intake actually overpowers the sound after 2500rpm anyway. Also, I am not sure if many other brands do it, I know of some, but the Megan replaces the secondary cat. No codes were thrown by the way. I'm sure the replacement helps relieve some of the restriction with just the right amount of back pressure added with the piece that replaces the Sec~Cat...OVERALL.....Nice Luxury sounding performance exhaust...Not Ricey at all

Wow, 16hp from exhaust (with intake).. thats impressive. Thats basically 20hp at the crank more.. so you're IS putting 268hp to the wheel translates to 335hp @ crank if you minus 20% driver train loss.

The IS350 actually only has about a 16% drive train loss in power. I dyno'd stock at 257.77. Maybe the car is a tad underrated. My power jumped to 266.73 with the addition of the JoeZ pipe and Tanabe exhaust. 317hp now based on a 16% drive train loss. I can get another 3hp to the wheels if I ever complete my cat project. The shop i'm working with is SLOW! I'm basically going to have them set my car up so that I can swap in and out the cats when I want in just a few minutes with V-bands. Hopefully before the fall.
