i just wanna update!!!

**took the majority of the jdm stock twin assembly off last night. took a look at the manifolds and they are different :*( jdm ones have a three bolt flange to bolt the turbos to the manifold. us has a four bolt flange. egbv is different also. its casted back into the dp on the jdm ones. us ones have it on a pipe that routes to the egv. gayness. man. gotta switch the whole manifold out. also the dp flange. what a difference between the jdm ones and us ones. basically have to utilize everything of the us version. from manifold all the way to the egv . more updates tomorrow.

update again......

got the turbo's on last night with two of my friends. what a pain in the ***. the replacements kinda dropped right in. had to force it in a little bit to get it to slide back on the studs. if i ever take these off, it will be to throw them in the trash. lol. buttoned everything up around 4 am this morning and started to fill it with coolant. burped the system and let my friend take it out on a spin. full boost hits right at 37-3800 rpm and pulls like a ****. love the car more now! the original number 2 turbo was messed up, thats the reason we changed all of it out for some usdm ones. when we disassembled the number two turbo, we were shocked to see no exhaust wheel. it was gone. ill get pics of it soon. anyways, car runs great! gotta fit a bcc and ill be good to go!

so your telling me there is no difference between doing the swap in a Gs300 or a 400? i was under the impression that the tranny's sit differently(1 higher, 1lower)etc... i've seen under both cars, they don't look the same, not to mention the exhausts r different as well, so the pathways are different.
very interested to see the outcome...

Yea I would think the engine compartment size is the same but the placement of parts would be different.

Engine compartment is the same. When you do a swap you are replacing all the stuff listed above. The tranny is replaced, the exhaust is replaced etc... OF course the 400 exhaust is going to be different stock, it's a V8 compared to a I6. I can't comment on the tranny being a different height but that still doesnt matter. The way the engine sits in the car is the exact same between the 300 and 400. The swap is the same process, fabricate a downpipe, ic piping, etc...

What type of ECU do you guys use when doing the motor swap? Do you use the supra ECU? What happenes to the traction and all the other stuff from the GS?

P.S. Anyone sells good GS300 single turbo kits?

Oh my dog.... Why did you drop one whole liter of engine?!?! Hahaha.

Anyway, I have the same question..... Any good turbo kits? Single please, but I know a guy who only goes twin turbo because it sounds cooler. So both would be nice.
