Modify drivetrain for more HP to wheels?

If you're talking about increasing driveline efficiency, there probably won't be too much you can do.
The only thing I can think of would be lighter weight components such as aluminum or CF driveshaft, lighter flywheel, rotors, hubs, etc.

how much would an aluminum driveshaft cost? what are the pros/cons?

Lite weight wheels and tires would be the place to start. Our automatic doesn't have a clutch at all, and a lightened custom prop shaft would be a small bang for the buck IMO.

might not be more horsepower, but a different rear end gear ratio would probably make the car quicker.
