Default Tanabe exhaust installed on the IS350 (Pictures/Video)

Just installed the exhaust today and took it out for a 3 mile spin around the block. Got quite a bit of smoke coming to stops for the first 2 miles, but cleared up rather quickly. The exhaust definitely has more of a deeper tone at lower rpms to about 4000rpm under load, has a nice rumble when you first start it up, totally silent at idle, at higher rpms under load it seems fairly quite, but definitely has more of a exhaust tone than stock. Once I get my new camcorder this weekend I'll try taking some good video clips of it. Oh I also weighed the stock exhaust and tanabe. The stock was 39lbs and the tanabe is 27lbs for a 12lb weight savings.

**EDIT** Video added on page two. Enjoy!

PS...Yes I know I need to replace my tires soon. Almost have 20k on them and could easily get another 10k on the fronts, but with my multiple trips to the drag strip and a lead foot the rears have taken a beating.

I do plan on a dyno, but not sure how accurate it will be considering my last dyno was done over a year ago, so any results I get from another dyno should be taken with a grain of salt. As long as I see higher numbers I don't really care. There was a member selling this exhaust new in the classifieds section for 545 shipped and took him up on the offer.

Thanks everyone, it's nice to finally have a good looking exhaust that actually adds some sound to accentuate the engine power. WOOOOOOOO (shift ) WOOOOOOOOOOOOO (shift) hehe It really was way too quite stock, but I understand how Lexus has designed the exhaust to keep it's image of classy, quiet, sophisticated yada yada. From the seat of my pants it "feels" a bit peppier, but we'll see.

PS.. Yeah the plate definitely works around here as Traffic Sucks BIG time! I usually see people behind me figuring out my plate (watching their lips) and almost 100% of the time I see a smile. Always nice to be able to add a bit of humor to crappy situations of which we all endure every day around here. I'm sure CA is just as bad.

is the driver's side tip a little off, or is that normal?

Yeah I took the pic before I got the exhaust settled correctly on the rubber hangers.

Awesome! I've also settled on Tanabe but just couldn't decide which mod to do first (exhaust/rims/springs). Looking forward to seeing your video clips.

Thanks! I'm new to this mod/performance stuff (I'm a senior citizen in some establishments!) and am learning quite a bit from all of the threads. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?!!!
