Most cars that come with single exhuast stock exit the left. Which would probably make exiting the right look awkward. However, weight distribution wise it's not a bad idea.

I went drivers side, since the HKS Carbon Tit I got for Supra application went out on the left side, had to mod it to line up. I think JDM tends to go out on the right side. Single out is way better, sounds so much cleaner and feels free flowing better than duals. Better for turbo flow. My friend has duals on his na-t and sounds like poop. Go single, flip a coin for which side you want. You just have to patch up the empty side, otherwise it looks dooky.

also a much older and wiser man then me ,told me that if u make air flow around a 10 degree curve a bubble forms and become a restriciton in flow....this would be much easyer to explain if i showed a picture

A single exhaust on the right side is the simplest, lightest, most efficient route for the exhaust. It's cheaper than a double exhaust too.

Its not gonna be shorter on either the left or right cause it goes right down the center. Id go with the right since thats how supras do it and you could probably get an exhaust from one and mod it a little and make it fit. Theres a lot more choices for supras too... When I get my NA-T going its gonna be a single coming out of the drivers side!!!
