Also if that chart is correct, which I highly doubt in real life situations, it doesn't seem to lose low end torque at all. From that chart, it seems like it's increased throughout the WHOLE rpm range.

But of course if you noticed, they are comparing pull #1 with pull #4. I'm sure they did a bunch of pulls, and picked the lowest (which they put as "stock") and the highest (which they put as "srt intake").

There is a guy on this forum, I can't remember his name, that dynoed back to back and picked up 27whp with the srt intake and around 35lb tq. I can't remember exact numbers but It was within a few hp and tq that I have here. He has dyno sheets to back it up on the same dyno on the same day. Anyone here know who I'm talking about? I wish I could remember his name

I wonder how much more % air the SRT ECU adds across the rpm range, if it adds any. I'm sure it have to compensate for the "added air" that is taken in.

why not? the gs4 has a redline indicated at 6500 on the stock tach, quite inaccurate, these cars are overengineered, you can usually rev a little past the redline without a problem.

On my prelude the redline was indicated around 7500 or so if i remember correctly, but I could redline it to 8k no problem (as it indicated on the stock tach, so not the most accurate).

No, absolutely no. I never expected dramatic HP increase with any Intakes avalible on market. You have to remeber there is/was couple factors you never asked, like outside/inside conditions, fuel, dyno brand etc.

There is not much to argue about, because gain generated by adding intake might be simply lost somwhere due to different:

Wheels
Fuel
Dyno
Milage
Oils/Fluids
Conditions
Additional mods

I posted on this topic few times already and i still belive SRT intake is for:

*Good sound
Good look
Questionable power increse
You keep it, as long as you like it...i guess

2xSRT Intake price=used LSD unit (much more feelable )

P.S. Personally i think there is problem with material used to built SRT, too much metal used, too much heat distibution. But its my theory.....

The only thing the SRT have over other "systems" is the ECU. I'm sure it acts as a simple piggyback.

I was just wondering because my car dyno'ed at 239whp (stock with borla exhaust) in an 80 degree weather with 35% humidity. Then again, i'm also at sea level, which (elevation) has the greatest factor power differences. I'm at 128k miles btw. understand there are lots of variables, but elevation is the biggest of all unless it's corrected for, but I dont know if a lot of places do that. I've only been to a few dyno shops in my area but they dont correct since i'm right at sea level ()

I'm setting my money on the side for the K&N intake though.

239 with only the exhaust? I'm still skeptical about the TM plugs. Plugs are just plugs too me, but I'm running the Denso Iridiums.

That looks right, I have personally seen a car dynoed back to back without being unstrapped and pick up 25hp with the srt intake. I don't know why people hate on it so much, it has proven to make power on every car that has dynoed before and after that was in good mechanical order otherwise. For the price of the intake for the average person you can be assured you are going to make power. Why bother messing with a differnt intake that isn't proven, then installing an Afc and then dyno tuning it, your going to spend more money in the end.

I think a lot of people are hating on the SRT intake because a few people have ran their cars at the track only to get a slower ET, but maybe 1mph better on the trap speed.
