Air / Fuel Tuning works like a champ on 2IS
I apologise for the slow progress on this. I need to have a new WBO2 sensor bung welded into my exhaust since I replaced the stock axle-back exhaust with the HKS. I'm really wanting to get this thing back on my priority list...
I didn't get a chance to find out how much power I was getting from it before disconnecting it. I'm still at the same status as last month, and haven't reinstalled the WBO2. I was laid off from my job, so the piggy-back is definitely not on the front burner...
The only update is that I still haven't worked on it since November of last year. Honestly, I am a little disappointed in the preliminary HP gains on my IS350. I'm sure it would be great for other lower output platforms, but it doesn't seem so for the IS350. Hopefully, I will prove myself wrong sometime soon.
You still looking for an apprentice/helper?
I'm still trying to understand how making the car run leaner by just allowing less fuel into the engine improves torque, though. Aren't you still burning the same amount of fuel/air mixture? Or are you burning more because the chamber is hotter?
EDIT: Also, lobuxracer, I can't seem to find that video on how the stratified charge is formed. Do you know if they still have it?
