supercharger squeaking belt

Default supercharger squeaking belt

hey everyone i bought a used lmw supercharger kit a while back. i just installed it. the problem i am having is the belt squeaks. its fine at idel but at the upper rpm it squeaks like no other. boost is there. anyone else here have the same problem??

which lmw supercharger did you buy?
and i would advise calling them or emailing them, they must have soem sort of customer support or tech support

Try to make sure the belt is aligned and seated properly across all the pulleys. You can also check the belt to make sure it's not getting shredded (e.g. missing teeth), which can be caused by age and slight mis-alignment.

Depending on the age of the belt, it may be good to just buy a new replacement. Also, when you installed the belt, you should have installed it so that it rotates in the same direction as the previous owner.

i just went with a gator belt. not one problem since then
