Well I have been told that Toyomoto, can make a AEM work with the stock ECU in the IS300. This is how they are able to retain all the stock computer controlled fucntions with the standalone.

yep you will have to keep the stock ECU w/ anything you do, stand alone just will give you a little more control than piggy backs, and won't make you be as strict w/ your tuning (for closed loop) as the piggy backs. If you want to do something other than the AEM and go plug and play i can probabbly find the jumper harness you need to keep from hacking into the ECU wiring for anything. I provide the EMU P&P harness, and jumper harness for the my.IS store, so LMK.

Depends on your budget. If you want to go cheap, use the Innovate WB and the SAFC2 (this allow +/- 50% correction for fuel).
Or just use the AEM EMS if you have more money.

Or get the Motec M800 if you want the really good stuff. The Motec can directly control both the VVTi and the tranny. Hence, the only full standalone system for our cars at this time. But get ready to pay for it......

I never said anything about gauges, or not needing a wideband. I simply said if you need a jumper harness so your not distrubing your factory harness i would see what i can do, it makes it nice in that if there is an issue w/ tuning or w/ the tuning option you choose, you can always unplug it and go back to stock.
