Just search on this forum, and you'll find out that lots of Lexus drivers including myself have this intake and are happy with it. It claims to add 30HP on GS4 though. GS3 gets 22HP. I don't think anyone done a real dyno on just SRT alone here, but people trust the dyno chart on SRT web site that confirms HP gains.

Before you spend your 400 bucks, you may want to look at this thread https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=218984 You can also wait for the real world performance tests being conducted by our fellow members in California. They will post the results soon. It's best for you to do your research on the SRT intake and other performance parts and modifications to determine what suits your performance goal

Exactly......imo, don't get it. I am one of the few who did the "real world" tests and I would save your money and either get a K&N drop in or get another Hot Air intake like the Injen I got.

RomeyG,

As much as I respect AZ's concerns over the issues he believed he had with the SRT (I still don't think it was the problem you had), you're going to find twice as many people who have the intake and have no issues with whatsoever. I do agree with him that you have a better option now that you've just posted that you have a GS3.

Depending on what you're looking for in the end, you have many and much better options for your GS3 (turbo, supercharger, etc) so save your intake money put it toward something else that's going to give you much more return. Good luck with your decision

So far, I think AZdesertGS is the only one who can provided timeslip for SRT vs. other intake (injen). Most people here have SRT in conjunction with exhaust or something. Hopefully someone can run timeslips of direct intake swap. Cali is a good place since most of the land is near sea level. Hell, I think people say the Carlsbad track actually goes downhill a bit

The Tornado device claims 25 to 30 horse power increase as well . I never trust advertisement claims. I am obviosly nota believer in the SRT. If I was, i would have bought one a long time ago. I am not knocking the guys with the SRT intake as it is your choice on what to spend your money on. Real world testing speaks volumes in my opinion.

I agree with you GSTEG, I was hoping to run my GS430 at Carlsbad stock and then as I did my mods....the only bummer is they closed Carlbad, it is an industrial park now.

Like DASHOCKER said, many of us NorCal guys have switched intakes from stock, to RMM, to K&N panel and FIPK, and SRT. Just wait til some of them chime in. This included dyno and 1/4 times. Pus, all cars are different. I know of a couple guys that got completely different results with the same mods.
