Red face Blitz and GReddy

(ya ya another thread)

Ok I have been looking up alot of info on exhaust for my car, I just ordered my SRT intake and now wanted to order my Exhaust.

Here is the question, does Blitz make an exhaust that is cat back?? From all the order forms it says "Rear section only" or " Axle back" and all the GReddy ones say "Cat back"

Now I know that Cat back will be a better proformance upgrade, but honestly the GReddy sounded to loud, I had it on my Eclipse and liked the sound, but it was loud at idle. Don't want to make neighboors mad (unless its not that bad at idle on the GS400, but think it would be louder on the V8)

I thought I had made my choice finally, but now im just not sure, if I order Blitz, will it sound good with just the mufflers? Or should I just risk it and go with the GReddy? Also was interested in the HKS system but looked like the mufflers came with that set up too.

Save your $$ and just weld on mufflers from a local shop. Exhaust is all about personal preferance in sound. Not HP gains.

If you want a "cat back" system...check out Carsons. Loooooks sweet.

Blitz doesn't have a full cat-back exhaust, it's just the rear pipes and cans... Greddy has both the Power Extreme and EVO 2

I have the Greddy PE system, and love it, I know a lot of members on CL have the Blitz also and they like it as well, it's as AZDesertGS says "personal perference"

good luck!!

oh and about the loudness - the greddy i have, i've heard is supposed to be very loud, but in actuality - i believe it to be very quiet on the GS, and i have the v8, it has a good tone to it IMO

After going from the Borla rear section to the Blitz Nur Spec there is a difference in sound in good way.. Now when I'm driving i can hear the exhaust in the back and it makes me smile.. At idle it sounds very good... not to loud and the little rumble from the V8 is great.. Good Luck...

Where were you able to find this system at? I tried GReddy website, but does not list this, only the EVO2 type.
