Default IS300 Diff in GS

hey guys... i have an option with a guy with an IS to swap rear ends with him.. i believe he wants longer gearing for his turbo IS... but i'm not 100% sure that the IS rear will drop-in to the GS i kno the GS rear will drop in to the IS but i feel like i've heard that sumthing doesnt fit right or sumthing needs to be cut or shaved... anyone with info regarding this? i wouldnt mind having the 3.90 gearing hehe with LSD

not for the gs400. i believe you have to change the axle attach plate in the front of the differential as well, at lesat
